If only brain tumour research could be funded in the same way as leukaemia and other cancers

Grand Union Canal Walk near Milton Keynes

Join us and enjoy a lovely walk along the Grand Union Canal on Saturday 28th September, enjoying stunning scenery. Choose to walk 5.5 miles, 10.5 miles or the round trip from The Three Locks pub at Stoke Hammond, near Leighton Buzzard, through to The Giffard Park, Great Linford near Newport Pagnell and back, stopping for a picnic or lunch at The Plough in Simpson. Well behaved dogs are welcome but will need to be on leads in certain areas. Please register with Sarah on 01296 733011 or by email at supportercare@braintumourresearch.org by 12 noon latest on Friday 27th Sept. If you register by Friday 20th Sept you can request a shuttle service back to your car. Please help us to raise funds for the cancer which kills more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet receives less than 1% of national cancer research spending – brain tumours.
Milton Keynes South MP Iain Stewart will be walking with members of the Brain Tumour Research team and celebrity patron, Ian Reddington, will be joining us at lunchtime.
Registration is just £5 per adult with children under 16 going free. Meet at The Three Locks, Leighton Road, Stoke Hammond, Bucks MK17 9DD at 10.30am ready to walk at 10.45am. To book lunch at The Plough, call 01908 691555 in advance. Weather permitting, there may be a bbq. Alternatively, why not bring your own picnic? It promises to be a great day out, if last year’s canal walk is anything to go by.
