Today sees Remember A Charity of which Brain TUmour Research is a member, launch a nationwide drive to increase the number of people in the UK who leave 10% of their estate to charity in their Wills.
Legacy10 will campaign to ask individuals across the UK to pledge 10% of their estate to charity. Business leaders including Sir Richard Branson has already shown their support for the campaign by making the pledge.
The initiative stems from the new Inheritance Tax incentive set to come into play next April, where those leaving at least 10% of their estate to charity will have their inheritance tax reduced from 40% to 36%.
Remember A Charity has been working with the Government ahead of the IHT changes and help remind people that legacy giving is for everyone and not just the wealthy.
Rob Cope, Director of Remember A Charity was interviewed live on CNN this morning about the tax changes. http://www.rememberacharity.org.uk/
