If only brain tumour research could be funded in the same way as leukaemia and other cancers

The Biochemical Brothers

Go Dave, Tom and Harry, go! Three biochemistry students (David Makin, Harry Peel Yates and Tom Hills) are currently taking part in the Mongol Rally which involves a 10,000 mile drive to Ulaanbatar. The crazy trio from Bristol University, known as “The Biochemical Brothers”, elected to travel this vast distance across 18 countries in a tiny 998cc Daewoo Matiz in support of Brain Tumour Research and have customised the vehicle, including giving the car “Brain Tumour Research pink” wing mirrors! This fundraising challenge is in memory of Harry’s mum, Caroline Peel Yates, who passed away very suddenly in 2008, four days after being diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme.
